Outage hits Bank of America, customers reports $0.00 Balances issues

Bank of American customers on Wednesday reported the difficulties they experience in accessing their Bank account, an issue the bank said was a glitch.
According to the bank it is an apparent glitch that has been largely fixed.

Downdetector, a site monitoring service which collects data on outages confirmed this. with thousands of people reporting service disruption, posted their account balance of $0.00 resulting from the glitch on their social media handles.

This issue erupted among the customers at around 12:45 pm ET, when the bank’s customers complained they could not see their account balance, while others complain of their inability to access their online and mobile banking.

In a statement issued by the Bank prior to the disruption, the bank acknowledged the issue noting that “some clients are experiencing an issue accessing their accounts and balance information today.”

Bank of American apologized to their customers for the inconvenience, saying that these issues are being addressed and have largely been resolved, “We apologize for any inconvenience.” the bank said.

Attempts to ascertain what the specific cause of the issues was by newsmen was declined by Bank of American.
